Youth Programs

Senior High Youth Group

The Senior High Youth Group is for all students in grades 9th through 12th and meets from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. [This time schedule may vary depending on scheduling of given events]  The main purpose of the group is to bring Grace young people and invited friends to a deeper relationship with Christ and with one another.  This is done in many different ways.  Dedicated leaders working with alongside parents, form relationships with each person, and challenge them to serve the Lord.  Spiritual activities include Bible study, prayer, and participation in worship services. In addition to many fun and fellowship activities such as games, sports, theme park outings, ski trips, and much more, the group participates in many service-related activities.  Among these are:  Burke Cares [provides clothing to the needy], Crop Walk [raises money for hunger relief locally and worldwide], and Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child Program [shoe boxes filled with school supplies, toys, and personal items for needy children in the world].  The group also participates in other Christian organizations such as Youth Unlimited.  SERVE, a Youth Unlimited program, provides a week-long mission trip during the summer, where youth go to another city in the U.S. to serve God and people in need by  activities such as reconstructing or repairing homes, delivering food and clothing to the homeless, working with children, helping people in areas of natural disasters, and helping people with disabilities.

Junior High Youth Group

The Junior High Youth Group is for all students in grades 7th and 8th .  The group meets once a month with dates and times to be announced.  The group is about growing in faith in Jesus as Lord through fellowship and fun.  Through attending worship events, Bible reading challenges, prayer and discussion, the group connects with each other and Jesus.  In addition, they participate in all kinds of fun activities such as skiing, hiking, biking, foosball tournaments, games, going out to eat, and much more.  The group is also involved in community volunteer service at the Lamb Center and in the Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child program.

“Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, ‘I find

no pleasure in them.' ”   (Ecclesiastes 12:1)
