Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help run several areas within Grace Church.   There is something for everyone!  It is a great opportunity to get to know people, fellowship with group members, and serve the Lord.  Your work will be deeply rewarding and very much appreciated by everyone.  The list below mostly consists of  Sunday-related activities; a wide variety of other Church programs also need volunteers!

  • Scripture Reader – Reads sermon Scripture verses during the worship service.

  • Coffee/Refreshments – Prepares and sets up coffee/tea and other refreshments for adults and kids after the morning service; cleans up afterwards.

  • Flowers – Provides flower arrangement for the altar and sets it up prior to worship service.

  • Greeters – Gives a warm welcome to people as they arrive and hands them a bulletin.

  • Sound System Operator – Operates the sound system during the worship service or any at special program events.

  • Nursery Director and Helpers – The nursery director [must be 18 or older] is responsible for running the church nursery.  Helpers assist the director.

  • Children’s Worship Leader and Helpers – The leader conducts a children’s worship class for children age 4 to 7 years and the helpers assist the leader.  During the morning service, children are dismissed to attend the children’s worship.

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”  (1 Peter 4:10)
