Children's Program


Cadets

 

Cadets is a club for boys from 3rd - 6th grade, which meets at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Sunday of the month.  The purpose of the Cadet Program based upon Luke 2:52, is to help boys grow spiritually in all areas of life – devotional, mental, physical, and social.  Boys and their counselors work side by side on Biblical lessons, Christian service projects, outdoor activities (camping, cycling, hiking, canoeing, and much more) and work on merit badge projects – selecting from a wide range of interests and skills.

GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior)   

GEMS is a club for girls from 3rd - 6th grade, which meets at the church house from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Sunday of the month.  The purpose of the GEMS Program is to bring the girls into a living relationship with Jesus Christ  and to foster other relationships as well – between girls and between girls and their counselors (leaders) and parents.  Girls guided by the counselors, play games that work on team building enjoy singing, develop important life skills through badge activities, learn how to apply the teachings of the Bible to their own life, make creative crafts, enjoy outdoor activities such as tubing and camping, participating in service projects, go on and find answers to many of the challenges that girls face today.
