Adult Ministry

The apostle Peter in 2 Peter 3:18 voices God’s desire that we all “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”  We take this to mean that we must not only nurture children and youth in the way of discipleship but also adults.  The purpose of adult ministry is to encourage and equip every adult to become mature and fully devoted followers of Christ.

Adult Sunday School

Grace Church has two dynamic adult classes that meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.   Although topics differ – both feature Bible study either based directly from the Bible or application of Biblical principles.  Come and join the lively discussions.

Women’s Midweek Bible Study

The Women’s Bible Study meets every other Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in a member’s home.  Join the group for good fellowship, good discussions, and a sharing time.  Bring a friend.

Fellowship Groups

FLOCKS

(Fellowship, Learning, Outreach,

Care, Knowledge, Service, Groups)

Grace Church has two District FLOCKS Groups.  FLOCKS gatherings include Bible Study, good food, fellowship, and prayer.

Discoverer’s Group meets at 1:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month in the church house.
Explorer’s Group meets at 5:00 or 6 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month in a selected member’s home.

Young Adults

The Young Adults Group is focused on Grace young people out of high school.  The group meets once a month, with dates and times to be announced with each event.  In a world of stress and anxiety, this ministry provides Christian fellowship, social activities,  good food, and fun.  New members and friends are always welcome.

Empty Nesters

This fellowship group is dedicated to parents whose children have left home and who are  now making a life for themselves.  The group gets together several times a year for outings, to attend events, to share common interests, and in general to enjoy Christian fellowship.

Secret Sisters

Secret Sister is a ministry in which the ladies of Grace have the opportunity to minister secretly to other ladies in the church by praying for them, writing encouraging notes, giving small gifts, and simply befriending them.  Prayer requests are encouraged  throughout the year.  An annual Secret Sister Brunch is held in the beginning of each year during which former Secret Sisters are revealed and new ones are chosen.  Newcomers are always welcome to join at that time.  Secret Sisters also sponsors a few special social gatherings each year.

Fellowship Dinners

Small groups [about 6-10] who meet in different homes to share a meal and spend an  evening getting to know each other better.  The host/hostess determines the menu and asks others to bring part of the meal.  Participants are assigned to a home and will be contacted by the host/hostess.

“Therefore, as we have opportunity let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”  (Galatians 6:10)
